made-to-measure.

Clothing that not only looks right, but feels right too.

Commissioning a suit, jacket or garment should be an experience, not a transaction. From the moment you step into one of our tailoring studios, you’ll feel it: calm, considered, and entirely centred around you. Whether you’re visiting our Carlisle townhouse or our London studio on the Strand, every consultation is private, un-rushed, and tailored to your needs, quite literally. Commissioning your garment should be an enjoyable experience not a chore.

Your suit will be built around our guiding principal of the Four Fs: Fit, Function, Fabric and Flair. That means precision hand measurements (we take over twenty), thought for the purpose of your garment and how you’ll wear it and space to inject your own sense of style, from lapel and buttons, lining and beyond. Whether you are ordering a business suit, a dinner jacket, your wedding suit or a fabulous morning coat for a trip to the races or perhaps the Palace, you can rest, assured of an impeccable outcome.

The fabric for your garment will come from our extensive curated library of luxury cloths from the finest British, European and international fabric collections. We stock suppliers such as Holland & Sherry, VBC, Reda, Dugdale Bros, Huddersfield Fine Worsteds, Carnet, Bateman Ogden, and Loro Piana and cater for all needs from light linens and wools to tweeds and coating cloth.

Unlike off-the-peg, our made-to-measure service allows for a suit that fits your body and reflects your personality. Unlike full bespoke, it’s quicker and more cost-effective, without compromising on craftsmanship or attention to detail. With hundreds of customisation options and expert styling guidance, you’ll walk away with a suit that not only looks right, but feels right too.

Your journey to the perfect suit starts with a conversation, over a coffee, or perhaps something stronger. Book your appointment and let us guide you through every step.

"The process was enjoyable and relaxed and I felt completely
involved in every step, from start to finish."

Our Commissioning process is as elegant as our garments. Your sartorial journey should feel every bit as refined as the destination. That’s why our process is deliberately personal, refreshingly straightforward and every bit as elegant as the garments we create. Whether you’re commissioning your first made-to-measure suit or adding another blazer to your wardrobe, we guide you through each stage with care, clarity and a good dose of style.

Your made-to-measure journey from start to finish:

1. Consultation
Your journey begins with a private appointment, at our Carlisle or London studio, or one of our UK-wide or international trunk shows. We’ll get to know you, your style, and the purpose of the suit. Over a coffee (or something stronger), we discuss options, take your measurements, and start shaping your perfect piece.

2. Design & Selection
At your consultation, we will guide you through choosing from hundreds of fine fabrics and customisation details. From lapels and linings to buttons and pockets, everything is curated to your taste. You’ll walk away knowing exactly what’s being made and why it will be the perfect garment for you.

3. Fitting & Adjustments
Once your suit is crafted, usually within five weeks, you’ll return for a first fitting. Here we check everything from drape to sleeve length and the final trouser length and break. Any minor adjustments are made swiftly, ensuring a fit that’s precise and comfortable in equal measure. Should your garment require further refinement this process is repeated until you are completely happy.

4. Final Fit & Finish
At your final fitting, we make sure everything is spot on. Once you’re completely happy, your suit is given a final steam and packed in one of our complimentary suit carriers, ready to wear. And if it ever needs tweaking in future, we’re always here.

At every stage, our focus is on delivering a garment that reflects you — your body, your style, your life. Because true luxury isn’t complicated, it’s considered.
