weddings &
civil partnerships.

Your wedding day look, elevated.

Whether you’re planning an intimate registry ceremony or a grand celebration with all the trimmings, your outfit should feel every bit as special as the day itself. Tailored for the day you’ll never forget. At Tasker & Shaw, we work with grooms, groomsmen, and wedding parties to create made-to-measure garments that are elegant, effortless, and unmistakably you.

Your bride to be will always be the star of your wedding day, and it shouldn't be any other way, we just help to elevate grooms from being a best supporting actor to the co-star of your big day.

Our wedding tailoring is about more than just looking good, it’s about feeling confident, comfortable, and entirely yourself. From classic three-piece suits to contemporary separates, morning dress to destination wedding looks, we’ll help you design something that suits both your shape and your setting.

At your consultation, held in our Carlisle or London tailoring studios, or by arrangement elsewhere, we’ll guide you through fabrics, colours, and personal touches to match the tone of your day. And if you’d like your partner, best man or wedding party involved, we’re happy to make it a shared experience, there is plenty of room and we'll even open a bottle of something fizzy if you wish.

Planning a wedding of civil partnership can feel overwhelming. This part won’t. From first fitting to final tweaks, we’ll take care of the details so you can focus on the big decisions. Because when the moment comes, you won’t just look the part, you’ll feel it too.

"I wish I had found Tasker & Shaw sooner, it would have
saved me so much time and hassle."

Paul N. - Groom-to-be, Carlisle

One of the most common questions we hear from grooms-to-be is: “How far in advance should I book my consultation?” It’s a great question, and one that makes all the difference to your experience.

Because the best things take a little time, we generally recommend having your first consultation between six and three months before the big day. That sweet spot gives us plenty of time to guide you through fabric choices, design your suit, carry out fittings, and make any final adjustments, all without any last-minute panic. It also ensures your suit is finished and hanging proudly in the wardrobe well before the celebrations begin.

Waiting too long can create unnecessary pressure. Going too early, however, isn’t ideal either, particularly if there’s a chance your body shape might change in the run-up. Three to six months gives us the flexibility to achieve a perfect fit at exactly the right moment.

If you’re unsure or working to a tighter timeline, just get in touch, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you and ensure you look and feel your absolute best when it matters most.
